Who I am and how I see the world

I am a self-taught textile artist living in a small village about 40 minutes south of Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city.

I found my way to textile as my artistic medium in 2021. Since then, I have worked full-time and intensely to explore what I can create with fabric and thread, continually pushing the boundaries of my own practice.

My background is in Danish language and literature and dramaturgy, which I studied at Aarhus University. Storytelling, structure, language and the human experience are still deeply embedded in the way I think and work creatively.

I have always been curious about people and about life itself. I believe creativity is a way of being in the world: a way of exploring, playing, asking questions and paying attention.

My life philosophy is rooted in curiosity rather than perfection. I don't believe we are ever finished or that there is a perfect version of who we are supposed to become. I believe in listening for our own inner direction, staying open to change and having the courage to live in alignment with what feels true.

For me, being present is an important part of that. We can only experience life in the moment we are actually in, and I try to meet both myself and the world with attention, openness and a deep appreciation for being here.

Becoming an artist was not something I had planned from the beginning. It grew out of a gradual realisation that I wanted to use my time and energy on something that felt genuinely alive to me.

Today, I am still learning, still exploring and still playing around .
